Find Your Better ___, with Indeed

In the spring of 2023, my Advertising Campaign Development class created an ad campaign for Indeed with the goal to raise unaided consideration among 18-24 year-olds. We developed the “Find Your Better ___” campaign after realizing that while we all want better jobs to create better lives for ourselves, each of our job search journeys were different. A simple but powerful message, our campaign showcased that whether that individual is looking for better pay, better benefits, a better location, or a better culture fit, they can find it with Indeed. Each element of our campaign empowered viewers to fill in the blank however they see fit, taking ownership of their job search once and for all.

Throughout the semester, I held many roles, but I consistently brought my creativity and eye for design to gain our young viewers’ attention without straying too far from Indeed’s comfort zone. I began the semester as a designer but was later promoted to Art Director, where I was responsible for developing the brand identity for our campaign and ensuring that our creative team understood the assignment. I co-lead the design process on our plans book, which detailed much of the “what” and “why” behind our campaign. I also designed billboards, social media posts, and YouTube mockups to vizualize how our campaign would be experienced through the eyes of Gen Z.

The "Find Your Better ___" campaign placed third at the 2023 National Student Advertising Competition in District 9 and won a Gold Addy Award at the 2024 American Advertising Awards.

A series of billboard designs were created to evoke feelings of optimism and lightheartedness when it comes to job searching with Indeed.

As part of our strategy to gain our young viewers’ attention, we revamped Indeed’s social media presence. This included the “Found My Better” Instagram giveaway, which I took the lead on developing. This giveaway would increase engagement and traffic to our Instagram, as it encouraged users to share a story of how they improved their professional life for the chance to win an Indeed laptop bag and an Uber gift card.

The plans book detailed our goals, supporting market research, budget, and plans for the campaign. This was one of the biggest projects I was involved in, as I co-lead the design process on this 13-page document with one of our other talented creatives, Ella. Before reaching the final product, the file bounced back and forth between our campaign directors, copywriter, designers, and myself over several weeks.

Our campaign involved a collaboration with Target to create the “Wear Business Better” clothing line, and we picked YouTuber and influencer Haley Pham to model and promote the collection.  These are YouTube mockups I designed for our pitch to showcase how Haley Pham would be involved in our plan.
